Montblanc Thomas Mann, first encouter

UPDATE: CHECK OUT THE FULL REVIEW HERE!

Back in Malaysia and I was extremely excited to receive this pen, which my wife has bought for me here since March 2011. Her sister has been keeping it for me for my return and it is exceptionally delightful to have seen this in person.

the lacquer finish is noble and elegant along with the platinum inlays. The nib and parts are extreme well done and its sober look are in every way, elegant, subtle and full of strength.

I can't wait for its first filling and can't wait to prepare a review on this. Oh and in the same time during our travels, I have also picked up my second 3 pen case. I am looking for alternative for more pen storing capacity.

Montblanc Notebook - Medium

One of my favourite MB leather product is the A5 notebook cover, with card holder. A5 has always been my favourite size of note taking, and the leather sleeve can accommodate most A5 notebooks, and in my case, I prefer a sketchbook, as I love to doodle.

The leather quality of this Meisterstuck series is clean, sharp and sleek. The size is just nice to be carried around, small enough not to get in the way but big enough to be practical. I put business cards, receipts and my trusty MB Starwalker FP is constantly in the pen holder.

MB Inks: Lavender Purple and Mahatma Ghandi

I love my inks!

Recently I've purchased a MB Lavender Purple and MB Mahatma Ghandi Saffron ink. I love the colour and shades of these pigments and gives character to the writing. Shown here is tested on a white sketch paper surface (smooth).

The MB Mahatma Ghandi gives a very nice orange tone, wet and bold. The Lavander Purple is a bit dry and darker than what I would have expected but has a strong color and very clear. Next to the MB Toffee Brown, I think Lavender Purple would be my next favourite ink.
